Dirty Glam Jams is Munk's summer EP 2013. Four dirty discohouse tracks based on Afro and Latinfunk rhythms that are quite different to today's average disco stuff.
The tunes remind of Munk's legendary cooperation with James Murphy „Kick out the chairs!“

Straight 4/4 beats mixed with unusual instrumentation, strange vocals and harmonic structures. Influenced by 70ies Latin Fusion artists such as Deodato and Ray Baretto.

The EP and his recent single „Misterio“ have been recorded between South America and Berlin and will be followed by several new Munk singles in Autumn / Winter 2013. Dirty Glam Jams is just a little appetizer. Munk aka Mathias Modica who run's „Germanys freshest and most interesting electronic musiclabel Gomma“ (The NME) with his partner Telonius, didn't release music for nearly 2 years. He spent most time travelling as a DJ all over the world since releasing his last album „The Bird and the Beat“.
Besides he has been recording tons of new music. So get ready for the new Munk season. You will be surprized over the variety of music you will hear from him over the next year.
